I'm currently using a modifier that is:

#showtooltip Fade
/cast [nomod] Fade
/cast [mod:shift] Mind Soothe

For some reason when you keydown it goes off and on release it tries to activate the Mind Soothe again. Doing this one time the ability will revert to the key release and will no longer work as keydown until you reload the ui.
