I prefer to install addons directly from the upstream source, usually via Github releases, similar to this:

A Github release with a .zip file to be created whenever a new version is released to CurseForge, WowInterface, etc.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Installing the addon from CurseForge.

That's not happening. The addon is already available from Curseforge and Wago - and they are the designated official source.
