You can shift click an item in your bags to do an exact search on the buy tab for an item. the problem comes when multibyte and Cyrillic languages search. In the NA client you are allowed 63 bytes in the text search (name) but in the Russian /EU client only 33 bytes for the Cyrillic character.

Possible suggestion and solution...

Allow a user to drag and drop and item to the location indicated in the included screenshot and have it do a NON exact search.

So if you say dropped Sleeper Sushi, it would search for sleeper sushi but not an exact match. This would leave the existing functionality of shift clicking an item for exact match searches but drag and drop for quick searches.
