On a lot of chains the waypoint markers seem to assume you are on the ground and not able to fly.

Would be nice to toggle a setting so "skip to waypoint" is always toggled as sometimes I will forget and follow 3 waypoints instead of flying to the actual waypoint.

A "CRange" step, or one where you would see "Skip to Waypoint" is not always about navigating a path on a ground mount around a tree or around a mountain where getting on a flying mount, if you are able, would negate the point of that step by flying as the crow flies to the next objective. Are there use cases like that? Sure. What about where we guide players through Undercity to quest givers during the Undead starting zone? Or through Oribos during the initial quests in Shadowlands? Could you find your way eventually without those CRange steps? Probably? Hopefully? The point is that there are use cases for the CRange step other than that. But also, the routes and code do not currently support anything like "flying mode" where we can just say "don't include this step if player has a flying mount", so for now just fly with the arrow. I can tell you, you're not adding that much time to your day by doing it.
