[Feature Request] Add currency config to replace default UI's "Show on Backpack" option

What version(s) of WoW are you using?
Retail
What problem are you experiencing that led to you asking for this feature?
The currency tab in the character pane allows the user to track currencies via the "Show on Backpack" option. Baganator neatly integrates with this feature and displays the tracked currencies as expected. The problem is that this feature is arbitrarily limited. Here are the issues I've noticed and why I think they are problematic:
- Only eight currencies can be tracked at a time. I already have 10 currencies from TWW alone, and there will surely be more in the future. On top of that, there are many older currencies that are still relevant today (e.g. honor, conquest, bloody tokens, timewarped badges, trader's tender). I don't have enough currency slots to display everything that I'm interested in.
- Tracked currencies are character specific. If I want to track a particular currency, I have to enable it on every single character that uses the currency. This just feels like an unnecessary annoyance.
- You can't configure the order of tracked currencies. This is a more minor issue but it would be nice to be able to adjust the currency order. As an example, I get constantly confused on which crest corresponds to which tier due to the arbitrary display order.
What solution would you like?
The ideal solution would be one that allows the user to track and rearrange any number of currencies as they see fit, using a global (i.e. not per-character) configuration. Something similar to the current categories configuration could be implemented. Gold could be added to the configuration as well, allowing users to move and/or disable the gold tracker if they wish.
Due to the sheer volume of currencies, it would also be necessary to be able to display multiple rows of currencies. It might also be a good idea to add layout options to the new currency display, such as:
- Currency alignment - eg. left-aligned or centered instead of right-aligned. AdiBags for instance always right-aligned tracked currencies and left-aligned gold. This feels fairly unimportant.
- Spacing - Configure spacing between currencies and space between the currency icon and amount. Perhaps something like the category divider/sections config could be used? Considering the current lack of customizability around padding and spacing, this should probably be part of a separate issue on customizing UI spacing or just be ignored entirely.
- Maximum number of rows - if not unlimited, the bag will expand in width as needed to be able to fit all tracked currencies. Currently, currencies that don't fit are just cut off (is this a bug?).
- Hide currencies that the current character has none of - self-explanatory. Users may not want to see a bunch of zeroes everywhere on all of their alts. This could possibly be a per-currency option.
Any alternatives you can think of?
The simplest option is to just do nothing and just accept the limitations of the default UI. This obviously doesn't solve any of the issues, however.
Some users might be content with the built-in show-on-backpack option. Instead of outright replacing it, a config option could be added to use it instead of Baganator's config for those that prefer it.
Instead of a "flow pane" or "flex box" like I've been describing, one could add a grid-based solution instead, allowing the user to pick and choose both the row and column that each currency will be displayed in.
Anything else?
