Quickly knowing which slots/items are ignored when sorting

Describe the solution you'd like
Flashes any items that are ignored when you press the sort button or change the number. (similar to the [Alt+] click behaviour)

Describe alternatives you've considered
Be able to set one of the icon corners to "ignored from sorting", so it shows a character for slots that are ignored with items in them.

Additional context
Been running around doing things, and quickly change the ignored number, so the first 20-ish items don't get sorted, i.e. when picking up farming mats, boe etc. but want to quickly sort the remaining stuff. Gets a bit tedious counting how many slots I need locked etc.

I second this suggestion.

I have a (slightly) different number of ignored slots on my toons, and the only way to figure out where the "boundary" is seems to be to check the number in the settings and do the math.
