Allow auto "resort" of items with a button instead of closing the bag

What problem are you experiencing that led to you asking for this feature?
Instead of having to close my bags after I deposit all items in Warbank, have a button that auto resorts the items in the bag.
What solution would you like?
As an example if I deposit all reagents and have a category for mining, instead of closing the bag so mining no longer shows, since I deposited all of the mining items, have a button that resort the items so the mining category is no longer showing. The current sort button doesn't do that.
Any alternatives you can think of?

Closing/reopening the bag takes a split second though, I'm not sold on the idea of a button to replace this, for what feels like a very niche usecase
Prior to 11.2, I used Bagnon for many years. With 11.2 when Bagnon wasn’t working properly I switched to Better Bags. It was nice to have all my bags sorted by categories. It was nice to be able to sell items and have the bag re-organize without having to close/open by doing a resort. The one thing I didn’t like about it was how to setup new categories. Then I was looking around and saw Baganator, so I gave it a try. I said wow this allow much easier control of setting up categories, so I switched to it. The one thing that Better Bags does better is the ability to reorganize/resort without having to close/open the bag which I consider inefficient. Maybe I’m missing something but the sort button on the bag window doesn’t appear to do anything. It would be great if when something was sold and I did a sort it would act like close/open. It is easier to focus on the bag which is already open then have to close it and re-open it.
Just one other piece of information. I’m not just a user, I work in IT and do some programming, although not LUA. So, I can see things from your perspective but I’m looking at it from a convenience/usability perspective. It is easier to see what changed by a resort then a close/open.

Why do you need to purge the empty category?
