Cannot delete characters

I am unable to delete bag data for any characters using the following steps:
- Open the Bagnon inventory frame or bank frame.
- Click the character icon in the top left corner of the frame.
- Hover over a character name in the menu.
- Click "Delete" in the sub-menu.
The sub-menu closes, but the character remains in the list, and the character's bag/bank contents and gold remain viewable in Bagnon.
Some of the characters I tried to remove are opposite-faction alts on connected realms that I have not logged into since the update to hide opposite-faction characters, so this may be part of the problem, but as those alts no longer exist I can't log into them for Bagnon to detect their faction, and I should be able to delete them anyway.
