The Sea Turtle seems to be preferred over the Water Strider when I am swimming even though I have disabled the Sea Turtle as a mount.

This is a known issue, and it is because there is no mechanism for "IsUnderwater" versus "IsAboveWater" and I have to do this manually. It will be added, just not yet.
