Can we please get a "reset recent items" button option so we can press it and all recent items go to their respective categories?

an option for a little button maybe on the title bar near the search bar

Right click the bag button. If you're on cata/classic, install "SortBags" as Blizzard has removed the sort API in older versions of WoW.
