I think it would be nice to have a toggle either in options or in the bag menu to have your bags embedded into the frame.
I think it would be useful for quickly changing bags without having to see all of you bags unsorted and having to find your bags one by one if you don't mind having your bag slightly larger if at all depending on implementation.

The option could be separately in bags and bank categories, or having it in the menu, but I think the settings makes more sense as for one you could have it separate for bank and bags as well as the menu already has many options and adding such a minor toggle would just bloat the list.

When turned on, it depends on implementation, but in my head it would look like the search bar would be moved to the left and to the right next to the search bar, there would be your bags in a row. I made a quick visualization, not of good quality as my skills are lacking, but it should get you my idea, the bags would need to be more to the right and probably either scaled down or background extended to the top, or mix of both.

Alternatively, if it is not something you would want to do, then a simple alternative would be a setting that would just make the Show Bags option only show the bag frame with no changes to the actual bag.

Adding the bags directly to the frame like that or some other form is very unlikely to happen. It is a design goal to keep the number of controls on the bag window to a minimum.

A request is pending to have the full 'bag bar' show instead of the single bag icon - maybe this would suffice?

The bags could also be added at the end after the Free Space, all in all it is only optional, not a default behavior, there are multiple ways of approaching this idea. But well it is only an idea, if the design is against it then its fine.
