I have noticed that the buff tracker utility appears to significantly reduces my frame rate. I typically run at 120+ FPS, but when buff tracker is on, my frame rate drops by about 50% or more.

I do see the warning that the buff tracking incurs "Moderate CPU Usage", but is this magnitude of impact an expected outcome.

I would like to be able to see missing buffs on raid frames, which requires the buff tracking utility to be enabled. However, having that setting enabled currently makes my game virtually unplayable in raids.

If relevant for diagnostics, I am experiencing this in Season of Discovery and I am running an i5-12600K CPU and 3060ti vid card.

I got curious so I did some profiling in-game and can confirm that the buff tracker is a performance hog. With it enabled for a single boss encounter, Cell had a CPU peak time of 40ms per frame and an average of 1.1ms, while without it, it almost halved to 23.9ms peak and an average of 0.9ms.

Exactly how much this impacts your FPS depends on a lot of factors, but I will personally consider disabling buff tracking for now.

Would it be possible to apply this kind of patch to aura in cell too?
