Most crafters use 3 different tools for optimization (Multicraft, Ingenuity, Resourcefulness).
Sometimes I might do some personal crafting where multicraft is beneficial on an alt. Then the next day I will try to do Patron orders on the that character and I will wonder "Did I switch to my resourcefulness tool?"

This is a problem with the default UI. I will try to complete a work order, choose the perfect combination of materials. Then right before I press the craft button, I'll be like "wait, what tool am I using?". I switch back to the first tab, see the tool, then back to the orders tab and everything is lost. A whole expansion later, I still have the same issue as the orders tab does not show the equipped tool and who knows if Blizzard will ever add it. Hopefully CraftSim can add it though.

Showing the equipped tool or at least its main stat somewhere on the UI (possibly on the Craft Queue UI) will be a lot of help.
