Would it be possible to add role icons on party frames? This is something I really like in the retail UI and with the LFG finder being added recently there appears to be something in the data to suggest it knows which role you are playing. So not sure if it's possible but it would be an insane help when in a party or raid.

you are right!
I'm activating the roleicons for Era with 1ab43e7 - on the partyframe at least, Default Raidframe should be also not a problem, as I made a WA for that back in BC classic, just have to find it again, or just make new code.
Should be both included in the next major version.
