[BUG] - Targeting / cast spell triggering LUA error

πŸ”΅ Describe the bug:
While attacking and casting spells, the below error keeps coming up. It only happens on a Warlock so might be spells related or something.

I do apologise if it is not related to this plugin, i did some google search and most comments were leading to some hideui error when macros trigger and this is why i am posting this here, also the line that says [string "=[C]"]: in function `RunMacroText'
is what makes me think could be a GSE error.

πŸ”΅ The error:
Paste the error message in this blockquote.

πŸ”΅ Expected behaviour:
At least not see the error? ha ha ha

πŸ”΅ GSE.lua file:
Please provide your GSE.lua file or the export string for the specific macro that is causing an issue.

  • To find the GSE.lua file:
  1. First, make sure you have enabled the "File Name Extensions" checkbox in Explorer (View tab)
  2. Browse to C:\path\to\wow\_retail_\WTF\Account\YourAccountName\SavedVariables\ or /path/to/WoW/_retail_/WTF/Account/YourAccountName/SavedVariables
  3. Copy the GSE.lua file to your Desktop
  4. Rename this copy to GSA.lua.txt
  5. Then just drag it here in your message
  • Note: If you do not include your GSE.lua file you are wasting your time and mine. 90% of the time, the first thing I will ask for is "Can you please upload your GSE.lua file?". This file is needed with the error to work out Why that error occurred for you.

πŸ”΅ Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Windows 10 64bit
  • Game Version retail 9.1.0

πŸ”΅ GSE Version:

  • Version: latest
  • Downloaded From: [e.g. https://www.curseforge.com]

πŸ”΅ Additional context:
It is the Apocalypse macro.

The GSE lua attached, the macro active for that warlock below it.

I haven’t had a chance to look but I would suggest two things:

if this only occurs when you use the macro and not any other spell - its your macro.

from what you are describing you have a fault with your macro. It sounds like you have too many characters in the final output of a macro and its truncating. I would be looking for an exceptionally long action block. If any block is longer than about 1000 characters it may cause this issue.
