[BUG] GSE not working on one character and specification, working fine on others

๐Ÿ”ต Describe the bug:
GSE was working fine for me most of the day, then I went to edit a sequence and made a minor tweak. Since then, I can no longer save or import sequences on that character, and even with them properly keybound, the sequences don't fire. Other toons are working fine.

๐Ÿ”ต To reproduce: (Steps to reproduce the behavior)

  1. I just ran a dungeon and realized my Beast Mastery Hunter did not have the Black Arrow in the rotation. I went to add that spell. It is talented, and it fires manually.
  2. After saving that update, I went to make some other changes to the sequence. The message on GSE said, "Save pending for..." and never finished saving.
  3. I attempted to re-import the sequence that I had exported as a backup. That import did nothing.
  4. I attempted to import a different macro from wowlazymacros.com. That import did nothing.
  5. I switched specifications to Marksman. The pre-patch sequence that I was using for that spec seems to fire off fine with the keybinds. I cannot, however, save or import macros in that specification.

๐Ÿ”ต The error:
Paste the error message in this blockquote.

No error messages, except for the continuous "Save pending..." message when I try to save any changes.

๐Ÿ”ต Screenshots:
If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

๐Ÿ”ต Expected behavior:
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

๐Ÿ”ต GSE.lua file:
Please provide your GSE.lua file or the export string for the specific macro that is causing an issue.

  • To find the GSE.lua file:
  1. First, make sure you have enabled the "File Name Extensions" checkbox in Explorer (View tab)
  2. Browse to C:\path\to\wow\_retail_\WTF\Account\YourAccountName\SavedVariables\ or /path/to/WoW/_retail_/WTF/Account/YourAccountName/SavedVariables
  3. Copy the GSE.lua file to your Desktop
  4. Rename this copy to GSA.lua.txt
  5. Then just drag it here in your message
  • Note: If you do not include your GSE.lua file you are wasting your time and mine. 90% of the time, the first thing I will ask for is "Can you please upload your GSE.lua file?". This file is needed with the error to work out Why that error occured for you.

GSE.lua.txt

The sequences in question are BM-AOE-MACRO, and BM-ST-MACRO.

๐Ÿ”ต Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Windows 11 64-bit
  • Game Version: Retail 11.0.2.56311

๐Ÿ”ต GSE Version:

  • Version: 3.2.11-a
  • Downloaded From: Curseforge Application

๐Ÿ”ต Additional context:
Thank you for what you do, and for anything you can do to help with this.

Update: I could go to another character and import the sequence, and then go back to my Beast Mastery Hunter and resetting the keybind gets it working again...but I am still unable to save any edits from that character in any specification.

One of your sequences on that character class is breaking the bucket. This isn't a bug as much as its a corruption. WHat you need to do is export one by one. Delete the one you exported and log out and back in. Its a case of finding the broken piece and removing it.

After you have found the culprit - reimport the others that you had exported.

GSE stores sequences per class. While you can import from another class if something is rotten in the bucket when you go back to that class you cant change anything in that class until you fix whats broken.

Moving this to a discussion as it isn't a bug but doing what it is supposed to.
