Hi, i already have a macro done, but when i tried to click create macro, nothing happens and the macro didnt appear in the macro tab.
Tried to create a new macro, it also didnt appear in the list
Currently using the most recently updated version.
I'm having this issue as well. This is the version downloaded via the curse client.
I uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I removed all macro addons and tried running it on its own.
edit: I have the issue fixed now: I reverted to version 2.1.0 by uninstalling via curse and reinstalling manually.
closing this out - found the problem and ifxed in #364
I created a new toon and I'm having the same issue I had before with GS. I can't create a macro icon for some reason.
I may uninstall to see if that helps, but there should be no reason as it works on my other toon.
I would suggest using the Alpha on curse - 2.1.01
It has improvements for handling corruption within the GSE.lua file.
I cant replicate this without adding a corrupt macro to a class.
It wasn't one specific macro. It was ALL macros. After I created a new character none of macros worked when I attempted to create an icon.
I uninstalled and reinstalled. After that I was able to make a macro icon. The problem was when I made a new macro from scratch it stopped working again. I uninstalled, reinstalled, and it started working PLUS the new macro had an icon for it despite my making an icon failing before the reinstall..
After that I attempted to create a new macro, same issue. Uninstall, reinstall, works again.
After that I tried to import a macro and it broke. Uninstall, reinstall, it worked again.
I attempted to recreate the issue on 2.1.0.1 and oddly I was unable to create an icon right off. When I get a chance tonight or tomorrow I will fully uninstall every addon and give it more through testing. I don't think it's a cross mod issue but I will test and make sure.
2.1.00 auto creates the icon - there is a tick box on the import dialog box for that.
the big difference between 2.1.01 and 2.1.00 is that if there was a corrupt macro in a class that class would lock. 2.1.01 should be telling you that its skipping that macro now so you have an idea which one it is if you have one. I just cant produce the behaviour you are talking about. Can you please upload your GSE.lua file?
I updated to the latest version and attempted to import a macro. I got the following error: https://pastebin.com/Rhub13iX
From there I was unable to create an icon automatically or manually for said macro. Other macro imports acted in the same way.
Here is the whole folder if you need it. Let me know if you can't download it and I'll share it via google drive: https://www.zipshare.com/download/eyJhcmNoaXZlSWQiOiI2ZGM2YjZkNC0xOGY3LTRkNDUtYjBjMC02YWY5ZWYwMDUyOTUiLCJlbWFpbCI6InJ1ZnVzc2hpbnJhNTg2QGdtYWlsLmNvbSJ9
Sorry, for some reason I didn't get your last request. I still have the issue as does a few of my guild mates. The way I discovered to fix it was to reload the UI. Worked 100% of the time.
I will have an alpha out after I do some testing later tonight for 2.1.03 - Would you be to check if this version solves this issue for you?
I for sure will. If the need be, if you would like more detailed testing, I'm more than willing to give you my direct contact information.
Sadly I'm going to be out of town from tuesday till thursday night, but I'm more than happy to do any other testing if you like.
I played with the Alpha a bit. So the icon does not change to a question mark still. That really is not a big deal as it does become is draggable to the hotbar without the question mark appearing. In the hotbar it looks like the question mark, not a book. The icon pops up as a question mark in the GUI once you close it out and then do /gs again. The macros also work 100% as intended.
It's the same thing with the import. It's 100% functional, just the icon in the GUI does not change till the GUI is reloaded by exiting then typing /gs again
I asked two of my guild mate who were having the exact issue to test it. They experienced the same thing in the same exact way.
So functionally, it's perfect now outside of the graphic within the GUI not turning into the question mark icon until the GUI is opened again. Thankfully we no longer have to reload the whole UI, which is a win in my book.
I still cant replicate this but am hoping that this is related to the fix for #320
I just added some visibility to the Out of Combat Queue - #321
The functionality will let you start and stop the queue as well as remove entries to force other actions to occur. Its still early days but Im hoping this may help track down the cause.
