Losing quest progress and any error popups.

GSE 2.1.01 from Curse. On the two characters that I use it on, a shaman and a hunter, as soon as I start using the macro, the quest progrees ("Bear asses 1/20") disappears forever, as does any sort of error voice or popup. ("I'm out of range" or "not enough mana" sort of thing).

The only way I can get it back is to copy all the files from my druid that doesn't use it where they do work. (for whatever reason, the feral macro does nothing but use the Claw of Saberon that turns me into a saberon, then never attacks)

I tried turning off all the 'block errors' things i could find, but it doesn't seem to work, and it does it on two entirely different classes.

@StarChaser I've not personally upgraded to GS2.1 yet but is there a setting that is disabling "Error Speech"? The client not spamming you with "I'm out of range" or "Not enough mana." voice messages are related to the Sound option "Error Speech".

I'm afraid I can't help you more than that though, I don't see why the quest progress disappears for you as from what I can see it doesn't interact with the tracking frame at all.

@SpellCraft Yeah, I thought of that, and went through and unchecked everything that appeared to be related to blocking text. Speech I don't care much about, I have another mod that colors the icons when I'm out of range, but it still works ok. I just tested it, and got both text and voice for 'out of range' and 'I can't attack that target' (just chose someone at a distance in the shaman class hall and tried to blast them.) Those I could live without, but the quest progress text is nice, to know how many more bears I need to de-ass without opening the quest log.

I can't find an option in the wow interface stuff to do that, and I don't think that would prevent it happening again as soon as I used the macro.

Its a CVar. The settings in GSE wont change it and you may need to set it manually via /script UIErrorsFrame:Show();
