I have downloaded GSE from the Twitch client which I only use for addons. I am using GSE 2.5.3.

I am able to use the default macros included with the addon. They work just fine. I wanted to use Ozy’s Heavy burst BM (https://wowlazymacros.com/t/ozys-heavy-burst-bm-for-m-mythic-raids-18-02-2020-updated/11813) because it looks great. I tried to paste the macro strings there and it wouldn’t import. “Macro unable to be imported” is the error I get above the GSE gui near the top middle of my screen. In chat it says" Storage Unable to interpret sequence" I will try to include a screenshot.

I have installed GSE2 from Curse/Twitch and it is the version from Feb-1-2020 and in-game my addons show GSE2 Gnome Sequencer Enhanced, GSE2 GUI, and GSE2 LDB. I disabled all of my other addons to troubleshoot and I tried to use it with ElvUI. I never thought ElvUI would help but it is what I normally use so I thought to include that info. I have also checked and uncheck the “Automatically Create Macro Icon” box just in case that would make a difference. It did not. I tried other macros for other classes and specs and none would import for me on any toon. I have left the Default Import Action as Merge. I searched the site and the solutions that I saw did not work or didn’t apply to my situation.

I feel like the problem is something that I am not doing that is very obvious but for some reason can not figure out. I hope I have given you enough information. Any help would be appreciated.

I have tried many on the site for different toons and specs. If this one works for you let me know what else I can try. It can't be the macros because I have tried so many. I even disabled all of my addons besides the 3 that show when I install this one.

I am so frustrated because this is exactly something that I have been looking for and looks perfect when I see people on steam or youtube using it. I am sure it is something on my end but I cannot imagine what. Thank you for any guidance.

That macro is incomplete. It is unable to be decoded and interpreted.

It is weird because I know how to copy and paste. The one I pasted above is one someone pasted in my post on wowlazymacros telling me it still works and I should try it. There is somethig weird going on and I don't know if it is obvious and I am missing it or something else. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don't know what else to try.

I turned on the debug. In chat is says:

This is what happens with any macro string I try to import from wowlazymacros. I shared my screen in Discord with Lutechi and he said I needed 4 addons, which I have. I have ACEGUI-3.0-Selectable-Panel, GSE:2, GSE:2 GUI, and GSE:2 LDB. With only those 4 addons active I can't import into GSE but I can open the addon and use the sample macros. The only thing that isn't working on the addon is the import feature.

I have 2 questions:

1. Assuming there is something weird going on that I will not be able to fix is there a way to use the macro string and paste it into something else so I can see what they are doing? Something that in plain text show their step function and sequence, etc? If so I can remake the macro and that is a good work around for not being able to import. It sounds backwards but I just want it to work.

2. Is there any other addon that I need for the import function to work?
   

Ive been trying but I cannot cause this to happen. its either one of two things: You're not copying the string fully and leaving characters off the beginning or end or when you paste you computer is changing the characters. The latter can happen if you are not using Chrome as your browser but is extremely rare now.
