I opened the Guild Bank without any addons enabled except GBS.

The last entry's I have are over a month ago.

Mine works. I increased the delay to max but still the first scan will fail most of the time. I just delete it. Close the bank and re-open to initiate a working copy. It would be nice to work every time, but it's a minor annoyance.

Have you noticed any lua errors?

If there are no errors, I could increase the maximum delay time as a quick fix. However, I have not been active in wow for several months and don't have game time at the moment, so it may be hard to try to find another solution. I will try to think of ways to detect and retry the scan automatically without having to increase the delay by a lot, and when I have an idea to start with, I can resub and do a bit of testing.

This issue has been a frequent dilemma since the start of this addon and it can be hard to troubleshoot, because it's usually when you first login.

Not sure about your comment about when you first login. I've just tried on a character that has been logged in for over half hour. Went through a portal to get to Orgrimmar. Did some stuff there then opened the GB. Scan was empty.
Personally it does not bother me that much as I am now quite used to deleting it and doing another scan.

I mean the first time you try to scan after login. So you might be logged in a while but the first time you go to the bank it may be an issue.

Ah yeah. It's always the first scan ;-)

Additionally, it IS tracking the Gold.

Have you tried adjusting the delay?
Open GBS > Settings > Scans > Delay

Additionally, if you have empty scans, try performing a cleanup.
GBS > Settings > Cleanup

If that doesn't delete all of the corrupted scans and you have an issue with scans saying no changes detected and your last scan was corrupt, manually delete the last scan and try again.

Coming back to this...and I've read above that U don't have access to WoW Retail atm...

I've deleted all of my scans that are available via the "Review" panel...done a "/reload" and checked again and the list is STILL showing me transactions from (10-11) months ago...update 10.1.7 in Retail WoW.
It is NOT recording any current item transactions.

I'm willing to completely uninstall and reinstall, but I've installed via CurseForge to try to give a little money to U, the creator, from the ad sales...or however U make money off of this. Therefore I'm not certain if Curse Forge is backing up my data and re-installing it if I uninstall the addon then re-install it.

Is there any chance that we can get U to get back into the game and fix this addon? Or even...and I hesitate to say this...but perhaps pass it on to another coder to maintain it?

This is a crucial addon for someone running a high pop Guild Bank.

Have you noticed anything I talked with zalid about? Is your delay set to max? I'm assuming since you have no scans, you don't know if it's just when logging in or not.

I should be able to try to get back in to look at it, but will need help figuring exactly what's going on. Last time I looked over it, I couldn't replicate issues beyond the initial login problem.

Have you tried manually scanning? Are there any lua errors?

And I know you've deleted, but could you provide a copy of your saved variables so I can check out the settings?

Just to confirm that it still works for me. Yes, it fails most times on first attempt. But I simply delete the last scan. Close and reopen the guild bank and a new scan is taken which always works.
