Before You Begin

  • I confirm that I have downloaded the latest version of the addon.
  • I am not playing on a private server.
  • I checked for an existing, open ticket for this request and was not able to find one.
  • I edited the title of this feature request (above) so that it describes the issue I am reporting.

Feature Request

If possible I think a feature for hekili to be able to pool runic power allowing for death strike to be used at more ideal times could be super useful. Below in the additional information is a priority from an in depth BDK guide. In this we see that death strike isn’t used unless below ~70% hp or above 105 runic power. Currently we can find ourselves having no runic power reserved for when we need it. Now I’m not sure whether this would translate well into the addon however I would love to hear your thoughts about it and any issues surrounding it.

Additionally I wonder if the priority below would work better with hekili. Either way I believe melee death caress can be removed, (there is no demonstrated upside to using deaths caress more often in melee range and potential downsides when we consider real-world conditions.) Maybe this could be looked into after considering pooling. Thank you.

This isn't a feature request; this would be a change in recommendations.

You can test your changes in SimulationCraft and if you find more performant changes, share them with SimC and/or me about integrating them into the addon. You can also see the FAQ about making a custom priority if you would prefer other recommendations.

I understand sorry about that. I got a little a head of myself with the rotation stuff. However my idea for the runic power pooling would be similar to how warrior has a separate option reserve rage for mitigation. In this case it would be saving runic power for death strike, to be used when either you drop below a set hp%/avoid capping/stacks. I'm not sure about how hard this sort of stuff is to add, but maybe in its simplest form it could be an option to follow the regular recommendations but only spend runic power on death Strike when you drop below a %hp(priority #1) are above 75 Runic Power (i.e. 2 death strike banked), or to keep [Coagulopathy]/[Icy Talons] stacks from falling off. The hp% and runic power could be adjustable.
