• Shadow Word: Deaths from Death’s Torment now have a reduced chance to trigger Depth of Shadows.
• Deathspeaker now increases the health threshold for Depth of Shadows.
• Subservient Shadows now increases the duration of minions from Depth of Shadows.

• Developer’s notes: Direct heals now cost more mana when heavily Atoning, letting Discipline regen mana via damage spells.

• Ultimate Penitence healing and damage ↑ 35%.

• New Talent: Dark Thoughts – +25% chance for Shadowy Insight; consuming it makes Mind Blast generate +1 Insanity.
• New Talent: Death’s Torment – Shadow Word: Death deals damage two additional times at 15% effectiveness.
• New Talent: Madness Weaving – Mastery: Shadow Weaving gains +25%/50% benefit from Devouring Plague.
• New Talent: Void Volley – Void Torrent replaced by Void Volley for 20 s; fires 10 bolts at your target and 1 bolt at enemies within 10 yd (Shadow damage); generates 10 Insanity.
• New Talent: Subservient Shadows – Summoned minions last 20% longer and deal +15% damage.
• New Talent: Phantom Menace – Shadowy Apparitions crit chance +10%, crit damage +40%.
• New Talent: Instilled Doubt – Vampiric Touch & Shadow Word: Pain crit chance +8%/15%, crit damage +20%/40%.
• New Talent: Descending Darkness – Shadow Crash damage +300%.
• Dark Evangelism redesigned – Now increases periodic spell damage by 6% (1-point).
• Deathspeaker redesigned – Shadow Word: Death damage +25%, bonus triggers below 35% instead of 20%.
• Idol of Y’Shaarj redesigned – Damaging spells have a chance to grant Call of the Void (Haste +15% for 12 s), ending in Overburdened Mind (Haste –10% for 8 s).
• Idol of N’Zoth redesigned – Creates Horrific Visions on harmful spell casts; at 50/100 stacks, target sees a nightmare dealing Shadow damage & granting 4/12 Insanity over 3 s; Insanity at 100 stacks now 12 (was 20); all damage reduced by 4%; visuals updated.
• Shattered Psyche (was Mind Melt) – Now works with Mind Flay, giving Mind Blast +8% crit chance per stack (up to 12).
• Shadow Crash – Cooldown ↓ to 15 s (was 20), charges = 2; applies Vampiric Touch to 6 targets baseline.
• Void Torrent – Cooldown ↓ to 30 s (was 45).
• Mental Decay – Mind Flay damage +15% (was 10%).
• Shadowy Apparitions can now critically strike.
• Mind Flay now generates 18 Insanity over its duration (was 12).
• Mind Flay: Insanity now generates 8 Insanity over its duration (was 12).
• Dark Ascension now increases non-periodic Shadow damage by 25% (was 20%).
• Mind Devourer now has an 8% proc chance and is a 1-point talent.
• Insidious Ire now also increases Void Volley damage.
• Idol of C’Thun now always triggers from Void Volley as well as Void Torrent; tooltip updated.
• Tormented Spirits trigger chance now scales with active Shadow Word: Pain stacks; now a 1-point talent.
