Before You Begin

  • I confirm I am using the latest version of the addon (outdated versions may have problems that were fixed on the newest release).
  • I confirm I am playing on official Blizzard servers (not private servers).
  • I checked for an existing, open ticket for this issue and was not able to find one.
  • I have updated the issue title to clearly describe the problem.
  • I am reporting an issue with the default specialization priority (not a custom or imported priority).

Specialization

Warrior - Arms

Describe the Issue

Dear Hekili, the issue is with the reactive dual priority helper.

The addon does not recognize mulitple targets correctly, once a pack, it keeps advising single target abilities.
I have had this issue for a couple months now, and seems to resolve each time a do a reload of the ui.

I have had trhis issue with Arms warrior, Enhancement Shaman and Havoc demon hunter. I have not played any others as of late so i do not know if other classes have the same problem.

Today i noticed that sometimes it does display the AOE adviser, but then dissepears once i come closer to the pack, this happened with 2 enemies, 3,4, etc. Once i reload my UI it works normally again, and there is no issue.

How to Reproduce

I am experiancing the problem when i enter a grouped dungeon or raid, and sometimes outdoor content as well.
Once i enter the instance, i enter a fight with mulitple enemies, but the AOE advisor does not show up. Cooldowns, Interrupts and defensives and primary seems to work just fine.

Do you have screenshots for when the snapshot was taken? The additional targets there were ruled out by range.

Dear Hekili, thank you for your reply, i do not have screenshots as of now. I can try to recreate the issue and make an screenshot. Maybe i can make a video as well.

Kind regards!

The snapshot itself should automatically create a screenshot at the same time, in your World of Warcraft screenshots folder.

Thanks, i found them!

In the first picture, im far away from the target, normally the AOE would not appear then. In the second im in AOE range, and then it goes away.

commented

What melee spell were you intending to cast that far away?

The target detection seems to be working as intended based on your screenshots

commented

Maybe it could be slightly off, but even the 2nd one is definitely at a distance where your skills might not hit them. And range detection is finnicky at best because Blizzard doesn't provide a proper, well functioning API for it.

I was far away, because i was making the snapshot, the tank pulled the pack away from me.

Most times when this issue occurs is.

  • Entering group
  • Pulling first pack, i get into melee range.
  • Then the AOE rotation doesn't show up.

That happens alot of the time, then i have to reload the UI to make it work again.

What happened in the picture is something that i have not seen before. when i targeted enemies from out the AOE range, it advised the AOE rotation, then when i ran into melee range, it disapears.

Well, you need to make the snapshot exactly when the issue is happening. You need to be in melee fighting range, see the issue, and press the snapshot keybind or macro /hek snap.

But based on your description, it sounds like the rangecheck library just isn't working well, which isn't something we have control over. This affects random users from time to time.

Dear Hekili and moderators, ive had the issue again a couple of times today. Maybe this will be useful to you.
Screenshots and snapshots included. I was in AOE range, it is not my intention to bother you with the same issues.

This happened again after joining a raid group.

I’m experiencing the exact same issue. For safety, I have to do a /reload before every M+ run, otherwise I risk that the addon will only suggest the single-target rotation and never switch to the AoE rotation.
