[REC] Demo Tyrant Impowered fix please & Implosion
Closed this issue ยท 3 comments
Before You Begin
- I confirm I am using the latest version of the addon (outdated versions may have problems that were fixed on the newest release).
- I confirm I am playing on official Blizzard servers (not private servers).
- I checked for an existing, open ticket for this issue and was not able to find one.
- I have updated the issue title to clearly describe the problem.
- I am reporting an issue with the default specialization priority (not a custom or imported priority).
Specialization
Warlock - Demonology
Describe the Issue
Hekilli is commending still 5 imp are to impower Summon Tyrant. This was true for BETA PTR but they reverted this to the old 10 imps are needed to impower your Tyrant.
Also please remove implosion on 2 targets. Its a dps loss. You should only be using implosion on 5+ targets.
How to Reproduce
When implosion is used at 5 targets. Summon Tyrant is still recommended.
When 2 targets (nameplates) are in view implosion is recommended at times.
What is your information source?
Based on my in-game experience and intuition

If you are concerned about 2-target recommendations, you should submit a 2-target sim. For 5-target, submit a 5-target sim.
Dungeon slice sims are rather useless, unfortunately.
Okay here then..

- Your snapshot doesn't recommend Implosion, so I can't explore that for you. If you get a snapshot when the addon is recommending Implosion on 2 targets, I'll look at that. If you put multiple issues into a single ticket, you have to provide the snapshots and sims for all the issues you raise.
For what it's worth, you've configured the addon to use damage-based target detection, so it's not using nameplates to count enemies. It's looking at what you've damaged recently.
damage = true
damageDots = false
damageExpiration = 6
damageOnScreen = true
damagePets = true
damageRange = 0
nameplateRange = 40
nameplates = false
If you want more optimal target counts as Demonology, you probably want to set up pet-based target detection in /hek
> Demonology > Targeting (or something like that). That said, you shouldn't see Implosion recommended if Tyrant has less than 10 seconds remaining, so it'll be worth taking a look if you see that happen again.
- Summon Demonic Tyrant was recommended because you'd waste your Grimoire: Felguard if you didn't summon your Tyrant now.
35. summon_demonic_tyrant ( default - 5 )
The action (summon_demonic_tyrant) is usable at (0.00 + 0.00) with cost of 50000 mana (have 2500000).
- the action is ready before the current recommendation (at +0.00 vs. +2.34).
- this entry's criteria PASSES: buff.grimoire_felguard.remains[2.26] > cast_time[1.11] & buff.grimoire_felguard.remains[2.26] < action.hand_of_guldan.cast_time[1.11] + cast_time[1.11] + gcd.max[1.11]
Action chosen: summon_demonic_tyrant at 0.00!
You had 2.26s left on Grimoire: Felguard. You could've potentially squeezed in a cast of Hand of Gul'dan (1.11s), leaving you with 1.15s to get a 1.11s cast of Summon Demonic Tyrant off before the Felguard expired...except you didn't have any Soul Shards.
It's good to have more Wild Imps, but it's far worse to fail to extend your major demons before they expire.
