Herorotation is telling me to cast lifetap but that is no longer available for destruction warlock

As you can see on https://github.com/herotc/hero-rotation/blob/master/README.md#supported-rotations, all Warlock specs are currently marked as "outdated". Please wait for an updated version before raising issues.
