Check the comments for the add-on itself for a workaround for the first issue.

For the second issue, in very limited testing, commenting out line 6 in ILD-Blizzard/core.lua as below (put a -- at the start of the line) gets rid of the LUA error, I'm no expert but looks like that function was removed by Blizzard and not replaced with anything obvious.
