litemount flight style gets out of sync after a skyrider race

Apologies in advance if this has been mentioned already.
I normally have a steady flight in TWW... too many obstacles... especially in azh-kahet. :)
When I do a skyrider race, the game forces me from steady flight into skyriding.
After the race has finished, I'm left in skyriding. However, when I hit the litemount key binding to put me back into steady flight mode, it announces that I'm in 'flight style: skyriding', rather than 'flight style: steady'.
I can confirm this definitely happens for me too, though I"m not sure quite what to do about it yet.
This specific case seems very strange from Blizzard. Starting the race doesn't give you the Skyriding buff, it just removes the Steady Flight buff leaving you with neither until the next time you manually cast it. Then "switch flight style" casts the spell that in all other cases puts you in Skyriding and it switches you to Steady Flight. Then if you switch again it casts the same spell and it switches you to Skyriding and everyhing works from then on.
I'm not sure if there's a different way I can detect which switch you did that works around their weirdness.
I've tried to report it as a bug... but hey, getting hold of an actual human at blizzard isn't the easiest thing. :)
Better late than never, this might work in the next release (11.0.7-8 if I make one or 11.1.0-1 more likely).
For what it's worth, Blizzard seems to have fixed some of this in a half-hearted way, and now it puts my flight style back to steady when I complete the race. It's still broken if I abort.
