During a recent raid the Raid Leader manually added players to the Standby List, then made sure "Include Standby" was checked. Based on the tooltip of that checkbox, it seems to imply that all automatic DKP (which to me means Boss Kills, Start, and End Raid bonuses), is given to the players on the Standby List. However no DKP was given out over the course of the raid.

My confusion is, do players still have to do !Standby? If so, what's the point of the list and checkbox if everything still has to be done manually?

In general how Standby works is a tad confusing and the issue is really more of a clarity thing although depending on the answer it may be functionality as well.
