This is a known issue - #197
I have a patch in #309 that fixes the issue, but has been rejected, since it removes some functionality it seems.

Its a shame that such buggy mess of a tooltip is considered ok.

Would like to request a fix to this as well, or at least an update if it can't be fixed. It's been an issue for a long time and it's very irritating. @Jaliborc Thank you

I would accept a complete removal of that feature or a toggle to do so if there is no fix.

1-2 years of dealing with this insanely annoying bug with 0 response from addon dev, all while addon receives updates time to time that seem to fix minor things.

Deleting the addon, hopefully someone takes over or comes out with alternative.
AllTheThings does the job just fine.

I have created another addon (See #360), which does most of what PetTracker does (implemented from scratch to avoid licensing issues), which does this the correct way.
