The "Quest Announce" feature is enabled by default, and is even re-enabled when updating Questie. I think it merely creates unwanted spam - no one is interested in knowing that you just finished gathering 10/10 skeleton bones or that you now have a quest token for a piece of armor. Most players I make aware of it then try to find where the feature can be disabled, and it's very unintuitive that it's hidden as the vaguely named "Quest Announce" dropdown on the Questie options.

I think quest progress should be reported only to the player themselves, on their screen, and not shared in group chat. That's what the quest tracker is for.

8a3b7e6 changes the dropdown menu to a checkbox (just like all the other settings).

We won't change the default value of the "Quest Announce" feature though.
