How to mark a quest completed that doesn't appear on the map?

Question

In Storm Peaks, there is this quest: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=12885/the-exiles-of-ulduar

It seems as though if you don't happen to do this quest before completing everything involving the item Brann's Communicator, then you can never receive the quest going forward. Since the item summons an NPC to receive the quest from, I cannot mark it as completed from the map.

I track all incomplete quests via the "Quests by Zone" tab in the Journey panel. I'd like to not have this single quest I was unlucky enough to miss permanently listed in the list of available quests when I can't actually get it.

Is there a way to do this?

(Note: It's possible there's another way to get the quest I'm unaware of)

Also, if this isn't a feature of the addon, then am I able to manually add an entry to the Questie DB file to make it think it's completed?

Awesome, thanks for explaining and the workaround!

If you hold the Shift key while clicking icons on the map, you get the option to permanently hide that quest, despite availability.

That being said, the fact that this quest shows up at all for you is a DB issue and will be addressed.

@Yttrium-tYcLief I knew about the shift+click method on the map, but as mentioned there is no map icon for this quest because the NPC which starts it gets summonsed by an item you use from your bag. Also I don't think this is a DB issue, as I believe the quest does exist in the game. It's just a missable breadcrumb. That's why I wanted to hide it as complete.

Questie maintains an entirely separate database from the game. In our database, this quest was not tagged as a breadcrumb - the nextQuestInChain field had no value. That field basically says, "if X quest is active or completed, the player is ineligible for this quest" and hides it. That field being empty meant Questie thought you were eligible. That is now fixed.

If there's no map icon you can also hide quests using Questie Journey - you can search by zone or ID and tick the "hidden" checkbox.
