According to #291, there may be other toys that were converted after being added as regular items, which might have been overlooked at the time. The early expansion's don't have many items added, as has become obvious during the refactoring of the item DB.

This would be of interest for a potential classic/TBC version of the addon, as well as later expansions (assuming Blizzard will release them all eventually). Even if the items aren't yet toys in that particular version, having them tracked would give some more use to Rarity as a whole, rather than "only" allowing users to add their own items.
