Haven't been able to find anything in the code, and other addons such as Masque wont do the trick.

Yes that is what I wanted to achieve.

It has no link whatsoever with the borders, it is in fact of the icons are zoomed in :
You can zoom in the icons by setting the coords as such
f.Icon:SetTexCoord(.08, .92, .08, .92)

in sArena_Updated2_by_sammers/sArena.lua, for the various icons.
