When attempting to promote or demote players from guild control, I receive this error:

Disabling this addon only allows promoting/demoting to work as expected.

Sadly this is a known issue. It will require a full re-write of the addon from scratch to get around it, which I sadly do not have the time to do. If anyone else feels up to the challenge, feel free to create a pull-request :).

As you noticed, you can disable the addon and promote/demote, but I know it is FAR from ideal :(.
