Is there any workaround or fixed planned so when you upscale your minimap the buttons stay at their regular scale?
i.e. when scaling minimap to 1.8, the buttons also upscale and become obnoxiously large and blurry.

No, that's how scaling works in wow. You change the scale of the parent and it affects all its children.
