I installed your latest version (8.0.6) today and now when I mouse over the MiniMap, the buttons all appear, as they should, but when I move my cursor away from the MiniMap, the buttons stay visible. They don't fade back out like they used to. I have to open the SexyMap options select Buttons, deselect then reselect "Let SexyMap control button visibility," then click on the Okay button to get them to fade out...until the next time I mouse over the MiniMap. I did read your statement regarding not supporting exemptions from LibDBIcon for custom buttons in the version 8.0.5 changelog, and did notice a couple of buttons no longer get faded, but that's not what I'm trying to report with this issue. I'm reporting the behavior happening with Standard and Dynamic buttons as well as other Addon buttons that do fade out.

Update: This appears to happen inconsistently. It did this on the first two toons I got on, then on the third toon it worked properly.

Cannot reproduce this. If you can help me reproduce it, feel free to re-open. Otherwise it seems to be specific to you.
