UPDATE: This was caused by SLDataText.

I have my config set to show Mail icon always but when I get new mail, it doesn't show up (even when I hover to check). I have no way to know when I get new mail.

I have 2 WoW accounts with SexyMap installed on both. The mail icon shows on one account but not the other even though the SexyMap settings are identical on both accounts. With SexyMap disabled on either or both accounts the mail icon is visible on the default Blizzard mini-map on the account(s) SexyMap is disabled on. Even with all addons except SexyMap disabled all of the preceding is true.

Most likely being blocked by another addon. Try with only SexyMap enabled.

For others with this issue, mine was caused by SLDataText.

Please post the culprit for future users browsing the tickets.

The culprit for me was Postal. After disabling and re-enabling it, mail notifications now work.
