if its loaded i cannot zoom out on my map - if i hover over the map there are some areas that show a grey outline.

I don't see this happening. Does this still happen if SilverDragon is the only enabled addon? Do you have any other map-related addons installed?

Actually... what do you mean "map zoom out button"? Because I can't think what in the default UI would qualify.
