It'd be convenient if the rare popup went away when the mob died.

This will be most reliable if we're actually in combat with the mob. Can't guarantee we'll know otherwise. (Could treat the vignette disappearing equivalently, but can't disambiguate between that and moving out of range.)

Probably fine to ignore the edge case of multiple copies of the mob being up at once, and one being the first to die.
