See here, my long list of written separate lists for my skillet is completely gone, it will not allow me to write new ones to try sort it out , this is extremely bothering me and I cannot stop until I can figure out how to get around this to fix it ; w ;

Skillet-Classic-1.39-alpha2 will do a better job of copying your custom groups but make a copy of your global saved variables file, Skillet-Classic.lua before you try it. If the copy isn't perfect, then upload the global saved variables file here.

Thank you so much ; w ; this new update has completely given my lists back ; w ; I didn't need to save anything just downloaded it manually then moved it into addons folder and loaded up the game to see it all back in order

Sorry about that. Obviously the code to move your existing custom groups didn't work. To start, I need your global saved variables file, Skillet-Classic.lua and your per character saved variables file, Skillet-Classic.lua. Github won't allow .lua files to be uploaded here so either rename the global file to global.lua.txt and the character file to character.lua.txt and upload or .zip the two files (renaming one) and upload them.

I don't understand why you can't create new ones so that may be a separate issue. In the mean time, I believe reverting to 1.37 should bring them back.

I found the problem so for now I don't need your files. Use 1.37 until I post a new 1.39-alpha2 (or higher). I'll let you know here.

I was able to create new custom groups with 1.38 (or 1.39-alpha1) so I don't understand that part yet.
