I am unable to change the bar texture from the default, not sure even which one that it is initially. I know that this is a picky thing, but some folks are just that particular.

The setting is working just fine for me. If your issue persists, please post more detailed information about what happens when you change the bar texture setting - any errors you're getting, screenshots, etc.
