Do these issues get addressed at all? It feels like we're being left in the dark here.

I can understand your frustrations so I'd like to explain some more about the current situation.

Before I picked this project up it was essentially abandoned for 4+ years. I fixed some issues that made it completely unusable and am (very slowly) working on new features. I am essentially unable to properly replicate any of the bugs that have been reported and as such it is very hard to work on fixing them. I'd be ecstatic to see other people contribute to this project, so if you have a particular bug that annoys you, feel free to submit more detailed bug reports, ideas on how to fix them or even full pull request to fully or in part fix them!

In addition to that we have to keep have to keep in mind that this is an addon for a video game. As such it's not an essential item that's a top priority for me. I am a uni student, have a job, there's a global pandemic going on and I have been dealing with various health issues. I hope you can see that putting in a bunch of effort into this addon isn't the most important thing for me right now.

I'm also not really paid for this work and I am strapped for free time already, so it's hard to justify spending the time on this instead of uni or my job. I get the feeling of being left in the dark, but I'd like you to consider this aspect of it. If you payed me to develop and support this addon, it would be super shitty to then just leave it like this. But that's not what happened, I wrote some code to add to someone else's addon. A bunch of people (you included) like parts of that code and dislike other parts. Yeah, those second parts being in there sucks, but I am under no obligation towards you to put a bunch of resources into them.

I'd love to see all these bugs fixed. Believe me, I don't like having problems that prevent people from enjoying this addon persist for this long either. But there's also reasons why I haven't been able to do so yet. If you want to help out with TidyPlates, I'd absolutely love contributions of any form.
