normally i'd see the "skinable" tag in the tt of a dead mob with the color corresponding to the skill needed and since i got tiptac that isn't the case anymore.... didn't find any option that looked like it would toggle that function

Strange that the skinable tag isn't shown if TipTac is installed. Can you provide a screenshot for the tooltip with and without TipTac?

Under which WoW flavor does this occur (TWW, CataC, Classic Era)?

so the first image is with tiptac enabled the second one is disabled with the tooltip being handled by elvui
the flavour would be cata classic

Still strange. This is the tooltip on my side in CataC with TipTac enabled:

In the second line on your skinning-tooltip with TipTac enabled there is "<67 Beast>" above 67 Rhino. This isn't right. I dig further into it.

I have been able to nail this down. I fixed the detecting of pet, battle pet or NPC title in unit tooltips in case the tooltip is already modified by other addons, which leads to vaulty informations, in this case the missing "Skinnable".

Will be included in the next release.
