Any news on Retail Support and Wider Completion %?

I ran a Sql query to get the number of characters of text in vanilla wow. It's roughly 2 million chars.
That'd cost $330 dollars through 11labs. They just made an announcement about improving the controllability of the AI this morning so I think we should wait for that before generating a much larger chunk of the game.
That is unless someone has unlimited money and just wants the entire game now.
Retail would probably be a few thousand. I also personally don't think retail benefits as much from it.
Retail would absolutely benefits, if you are into the lore. Maybe the costs can go down in the future
You dont have to generate all the retail voices, just adding compatibility for wotlk and vanilla as you have, making an addon that loads in retail.
Maybe i could do a fork with that functionality. Just for people like me, who wants to do the loremaster achievement with better immersion.
Upd. I did some testing and found that everything works just fine, no changes needed. The only problem is missing sounds, and keep in mind that current "old zones" in retail are post-cataclysm, thus quests/npcs are not the same as in wotlk.
Few NPCs work, others give debug messages "Sound does not exist for.: XXXXXXX"

The addon works as you saw. There is no release because like you said there are no sounds.

The main issues after that will be making enough voices and updating the addon to properly work with the mainline version of the game and money to generate. The questlog integration is completely broken in dragonflight because its been combined with the map UI.
Getting enough voices for retail should be handled by the website I'm working on now: https://allvoice.ai
So the unsolved issues are how to handle funding and updating the questlog integration for mainline.
