Model aura doesn't keep the animation sequence when reloading or a character appearance change (swapping armor, etc)

Description
What I had intended was this to act as a portrait of sorts but posed with specific animation sequence, and at the moment it resets itself.
Currently if you choose a model aura, and enable show model of unit, with the player selected, when you choose a specific animation sequence (for example, I'm using Animation Sequence 3 - idle, no animation), it works as long as the weakauras panel is open or if the animation button is toggled again.
The problem i, when yourcharacter appearance updates (equipping or unequipping a piece of armor) it appears to set the aura back to Animation Sequence 0. It doesn't actually set it to 0 in the panel, but the model itself will start relooping its default animation (Animation Sequence 0) no matter what. Reloading appears to start the character on it's default animation, but then sets itself back to the actual Animation Sequence it's supposed to be set at.
It also seems if a buff is applied that changes your appearance such as throwing a pumpkin on your head, when the buff is removed it doesn't remove it from the model unless reloading or re-opening the WA panel.
I know this is a bug and not a suggestion, but if there were a way to pause an animation that would be great too. :B

Reproduction Steps
- Create new Model aura.
- Under Display, enable Show model of unit
- Enable Animate
- set Animation Sequence to 3 (or any number but 0)
- Close WeakAuras panel
- Unequip or equip a piece of gear that changes visibly on your character (chest, cloak, etc)**
- Notice that the model has reverted back to the default (Animation Sequence 0) loop and will only return to normal when you re-open the WA panel.
**also reverts back for a loop when reloading UI
