Screen Freeze Bug

There is a bug that causes the game to freeze when trying to open the map in Cata Classic. I have confirmed this by turning off/on each of my add-ons and was able to narrow it down to Zperl. Can you review and provide an update please.
I can't seem to reproduce this, could you try to exit the game and delete your classic cache folder?

Hi Resike,
Thank you for your reply, i will try to add to this.
To be clear, having done through testing Z-Perl is somehow affecting the game when the map is opened ( I'm not clever enough to understand why this is) but can 100% confirm with every addon disabled the map functions correctly. With only Z-Perl enabled the issue comes back and the game freezes.
What i can say is that sometimes during the freeze (which happens when you press the "M" button for map) the game image shows signs of glitching as if the the GPU or CPU is trying to reconfigure the image - then if your lucky and hit the "Escape Button" on your keyboard the game options menu may come back after 5-20secs and the Game Options Menu will be displayed also at this point the Map works properly, pressing M for Map is normal - HOWEVER what i have noticed is a down grade to the screen resolution and in the graphics options in game the resolution has been switched from your native monitor resolution (In my case 1440P) to "CUSTOM" and if you try to change this back is will not change and is fixed until you log out and reset the game, then you are back to square 1 - the Map freezes and you repeat.
Could it be something to do with the this?
Resike,
I think i might have some more information that could help you fix this.
In addition to my last post, in the graphics settings of the game there is an option "Render Scale" under the resolution. This setting works in conjunction with the Advanced setting "Resample Quality"
I have my "Resample Quality" set to "FidelityFX Super Resolution" then have utilized the "Render Scale" by reducing this by 1 tick on the slider to 98% to help with frame rates etc. This effect reduces the render of the game to less than your screens native resolution, increasing FPS.
i have played around wit this today and have noticed that if i put my "Render Scale" back to 100% and leave "Resample Quality" on "FidelityFX Super Resolution" the freezing when opening the Map goes away and the game acts normal.
I believe this is 100% the problem, could Z-Perl be having issues with render scale?
Well the addon makes the game engine to render things on the screen, but addons have no control over how this happens. Z-Perl does nothing with the world map however it would make sense opening a big panel could interfere with FidelityFX, since FidelityFX and all these other Super Resolution renderers (and the default render scale) works in a way the more static elements blocking the 3D world the more resources are given to render the remaining "visible" 3D world with higher quality.
And probably somewhere there where things go bad. Z-Perl and other unit frame addons also block part of the 3D world by simply doing what they supposed to do, creating unit frames on the screen.
I think your best bet is to report this on a Blizzard forums, telling them how to replicate it, what settings your use, and what hardware you have.
Is this thing only happening while opening the full screen world map or with the minimized one too?
Only Full screen world map. opening the minimized map with CRTL M is fine works no problem
