Celestial Body Science Multiplier Editor

Celestial Body Science Multiplier Editor

4k Downloads

This is a simple plugin and config file for editing the default celestial body multipliers.

These are the values that determine the science points given based on your current experimental situation. They include: surface landed, flying low, in space low, etc...

Installation

Place the ScienceParamLoader folder into your GameData folder. The default location is:

Kerbal Space Program/GameData/ScienceParamModifier/

Usage

The current values are set to their defaults. To change them simply alter the numerical values for the desired experimental situation and celestial body.

The in-game UI can be used to select a different body, alter its values, and save the values to an external config file if desired. The values are save-file specific. Values from the external config file are used as defaults for new games and for reverting values to default. Values can also be reverted to the stock settings.

The in-game UI can be deactivated by turning off the toolbar using the settings window. This will prevent the icon from showing up in either the stock or Blizzy's toolbar. You can change this setting by setting "disableToolbar" to False in the config file.

It is not recommended to edit the recovered craft value as that is used extensively by the contract system for generating rewards and other parameters. You can force the option to edit this value using the settings window.
