SPACETACKLE'S K.I.E Fighter mod! OFFICIAL 1.1 RELEASE : 1.1k
The K.I.E fighter runs on xenon gas, and flies as you would expect a tie fighter should, Both in the atmosphere and in space :) It is highly maneuverable. It can easily reach munar orbit on a single tank, however there are larger tanks for truly extended travel. Tech tree integration. Should work fine with most mods.
Highly modular so change it up!

MODULARITY:
There are 9 parts to this mod:
- Tie style "solar" panels (will generate electricity at night - at least two NEEDED to operate Ion Engine.)
- Interceptor style "solar" panels (will generate electricity at night - at least two NEEDED to operate Ion Engine.)
- small arm connection with - xenon, liquid fuel and oxidizer tank as well as four connection points.
- Large arm connection (as above)
- Bracket radiator points to hold panels and dissipate heat
- Ion engine ( uses proportionally small amount of xenon gas for large/isp thrust) --- quite unrealistic but fits more within the STAR WARS universe.
- Second Ion Engine with (ion plume effect)
- cover for exposed ports, with a pretty boring logo
- Cockpit with 4 connection points.
Now has custom IVA.
