Universal Storage has it's own website at ksp.kingtiger.co.uk
For downloads, information and change log please use this link.
Universal storage is a modular parts pack that allows you to build custom service modules. The pack contains a number of ‘wedges’ that fit around a core hub. This allows you to build a 1.25 meter stack with 4 wedges or a 2.5 meter stack with 8 wedges. Of course these stacks can be placed on top of each other to provide whatever resources or machine the mission requires.
MiniAVC Version Checker
MiniAVC is bundled with Universal storage. This opt-in version checker will compare the current version number on ksp-avc.cybutek.net with a version file bundled with the mod.
Note that this mod contacts an external server, however it is opt-in, with the request screen appearing while KSP loads. MiniAVC then sends a request to the server for a version number, which is compared to a version file packaged with Universal Storage. If there is a newer version available it will tell you and offer a download button, which brings you to this page so you can review the change log and known issues before installing.
Kerbal Attachment System
All Universal Storage parts are fully Kerbal Attachment System compatible and you will be able to grab and move wedges if you have KAS installed. This allows you to run supply missions or to repurpose a craft for a new mission and adds exciting EVA opportunities. If you don’t have KAS installed Universal Storage will still work, but you won’t be able to grab parts in this way.
Downloading Universal Storage
Universal storage is split into a number of packs. These allow you to download just the parts you want, configured to work with your choice of mods. The basic set of parts are included in the Core Pack. Hubs are stackable units to which you can attach a number of wedges. The Quadcore has space for 4 wedges and fits 1.25m craft. The Hexacore holds 6 wedges and was designed to work with the 1.875 meter parts such as the HGR pack. However these also work really well on landers. Finally we have the Octocore, with up to 8 wedges on 2.5 meter craft. Both the Hexacore and Octocore feature crew transfer corridors which are configured to work with Connected living space.
