Action group 1 decouples the external tank and activates the OMS, there is an angled probe core in the payload bay, click "control from here" so the OMS engines are pointing in the right direction. Make sure to get to at least 2100m/s with the main engines before switching to OMS, as the burn times are very long. Press action group 2 to switch on the fuel cells.
